The Village of Jackson was founded in the 1870's by a German immigrant by the name of Frank Reis, and later incorporated in 1912.

Jackson has two lakes, one of which lies in the village limits, Hasmer Lake and the other Tillie Lake which is on the edge of the village limits. Both of the lakes are approximately 10 acres in size. Also a small river goes through the village, Cedar Creek, which runs through the South-East edge of the village. The village has two highways that run through it, A freeway Highway 45, which runs North-South, and State HWY. 60 which runs East-West, also known as Main St.

Jackson has one public school. Jackson Elementary School resides within the village, it is part of the West Bend Joint School District. Grades K thru 5.
