Taylor history:

A history of the city of Taylor
The original name of Taylor Texas was Taylorsville, in honor of Edward Moses Taylor. He was an official of the Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad in 1876 when the town was laid out. Taylor was incorporated in 1882. The name was changed to Taylor in 1892.
