Starting out as a housing development for commuters to nearby Houston, Shenandoah blossomed quickly and by 1974, the residents were already talking of incorporating. It first became a township and then a city, helping keep itself separate from the ever-growing city of Houston.

Stairway to Texas' Stars

A working Texas Longhorn Ranch, home to world class award winning longhorn cattle. The Ranch is available for tours by appointment.
