Powell Historical Events
1973-1976Powell's First Mayor
First Mayor and first village Administrator of Powell, Ohio was Don Aldrich. He was instrumental in developing Powell's master plan which eventually helped Powell to development from a village to a city. He was there to hire the first full-time policeman and maintenance man. He helped transition the then-village owned water system to a county-wide system which save many tax dollars. He currently lives in St. Petersbury, Florida (10-1998) and has written several magazine articles and two novels.
