The name means, "Blue Earth," in the Mankato Indian tongue.
It is located on a bend in the Minnesota River at its confluence with
the Blue Earth River. The color of the clay along the river is why the
area was named Mankato.

Minneopa State Park

This park has 1,145 acres and includes two large waterfalls and a
