Lanesboro Millenial Bridal Crown
To celebrate the new millennium, Cornucopia Art Center exhibited the newly commissioned Lanesboro Millennial Bridal Crown. The Lanesboro Millennial Bridal Crown was designed and constructed by Lanesboro artist Elizabeth Bucheit. The design of the crown is contemporary but honors the ancient Scandinavian tradition of the community bridal crown, used by all the brides in a village. The Millennial bridal crown, incorporating ancient and traditional design elements in a modern way, was funded in part by a grant from the Southeast Minnesota Arts Council.
