New Baseball Complex Dedicated
The Ralph Weingarner Baseball complex was dedicated April 28, 2001. Three fields were named at that time. The new names for the Baseball diamonds are Jacks, Whitson and Marnane fields. The Baseball Diamonds are located behind the Benton Elementary School.
Benton Community Events Annual Event held last Saturday of April each year

Benton Day is an annual event (the last Saturday of April) that includes
many events scheduled during the day. The Grand Parade is at 2:00 P.M.
The Parade features many Shrine Units, Saddle Clubs, Antique Cars and
tractors and many more entries. Benton Day tries to be a community event
that involves many organizations (Benton Lions Club, Benton PTO, Circle
School District, Cub and Boy scouts, Girl Scouts, City of Benton,
Church organizations, 4H club, Fire Department and many local businesses).

Benton has grades Kindergarten to 6th. The new middle school in Benton will open in the fall of 2002 and will have grades 7th and 8th.

New Circle Middle School opens this fall for the 2002-2003 school year.
The nickname of the Middle School is the T-Bolts.

Circle Unified School District 375 stretches across the northwestern quarter of Butler County and extends into Sedgwick County. The District includes all or part of the communities of Wichita, Benton, Greenwich, Towanda and El Dorado
