Fountain City Historical Events
1949
The Fountain City High School Basketball team was known as the Fountain City Little Giants. We won the county tourney, beating all the larger schools and, of course, our biggest rivalry, Richmond, Indiana. Today (2006), although the old school has been torn down and the new school renamed Northeastern Knights, you will still see a few black and gold class rings around. The Fountain City Fire Dept. has a flashy painted water truck proudly named, “Little Giant.”
