Riverview was first known as Peru from the Peruvian Mining Company which worked in the area. The town is thought to have been founded in 1856. Only later was it named Riverview. Here is a good history page for Riverview. Included are many early pictures of the area.

Attractions
Spring Jubilee
Located on St. Stephen Circle, just 1/4 west of the corner of Bell Shoals Road and Boyette Road in Riverview, the jubilee's grounds sprawl over 33 acres. With over 15 acres of room dedicated just to parking, there will be plenty of space for the thousands of visitors expected during the four-day event.
