Climate
that of the high desert. Summers are hot and dry and winters are cold and windy. Sunshine abounds with over 300 days each year. The rainy season here is during the winter. Temperatures may be quite cold and those temperatures coupled with the strong wind can create wind chill factors that go to below zero. Very little rain falls during the summer with temperatures often over 100. Fortunately, the night time air cools down considerably bringing relief to the residents.
