2011, July 1-4
Incorporation Celebration
A celebration was held for Riverside County's newest city! It began on the 1st - Incorporation Day - with a prayer Breakfast held at the VFW on Mission Blvd. Later that day the first city council meeting was held including the swearing in of the city council. It was at Patriot High School. Later that night was an evening of Fun and Festivities held at the Indian Hills Golf Club.

On the 2nd of July a Pancake Breakfast and car show was held at the Jurupa Valley Spectrum. Later a parade was held ending at Jurupa Valley High School. An evening of fun with ceremonial events and festivities was held at Jurupa Valley High School ending with a Flabob Fly-over and fireworks. On the 3rd there was an equestrian round-up at Laramore Park in Sky Country. Finally, on the 4th there was a Country Village parade.

2011, July 1
A brand new city!!!
This day marks the incorporation of the new city of Jurupa Valley, the 28th city in Riverside County and 482nd city in the state of California. The first city council consists of five members: Laura Roughton (Mayor), Verne Lauritzen (Mayor Pro-Tem), Michael Goodland (Council Member), Brad Hancock (Council Member) and Frank Johnston (Council Member)

Yes votes totaled 3,554 or 54.12 percent of the vote with No votes having 3,013 or 45.88 percent.
