The "Old Dominion" is one of those that has been closed that was very famous in its day. Founded in 1876, Globe started out and remains a mining town. Along with Miami to the west, the area is known for a rich western heritage. Buildings here are unique in their craftsman style.

Late 1800's
Owen McKevitt and Thomas McKevitt
Buried at a cemetery somewhere in Globe, Arizona is Owen McKevitt and his son, Thomas McKevitt. See my site, for complete details, including a poem written in 1873 by Owen ... one of a collection. A positively beautiful poem. The town mentioned is Carlingford, County Lout, Ireland, a medievaltown of about 500 citizens.
My offer: I'll pay $ 50 for a good photo of the headstones.
